I have a problem using my usb mouse in windows xp.

My system is dual booted, 98 on one drive and xp on the other, in 95 the usb drivres work perfectly, but whenever i want to use xp i have to dig out the old ps2 trackball instead of my sleek aluminium optical lovely.

If anyone knows a window update that relates to usb drivers or anything? I am only on a dial up modem for another month or two so havent really got the time to get them all...

have you searched the website manufacturer for a driver for the USB mouse, that is compatible with XP?

yeah all the drivers i have for it are xp compatible, it worked fine when i had xp as my only system, but on that copy i had all the updates and everything because i was on broadband at the time.

Do you think that not having "all the updates and everything" may have something to do with it?
