Yes I know there was a thread about this, but I used search and I can't find it. This is a series problem for me, but maybe not for you. Anyone who reads this thanks. I have lost Windows XP's default theme. Yes the blue one with a hill as the desktop. It is not in propities. I have tried everything. All System Restore Pionts are somehow deleted. I've tried editting the reg.. I have tried Tuneup 2008 rescue centre. Scanned for virsuses and other nasties using Avast 4.8 Free. Malware Anti-Malware Bytes, Windows Defender. Any help will be appreciated. This is the second time I have used the form. Signed up Yesterday. Thanks iApp

System restore?

PP321 system restore had been tried. Tried it again. An error comes up on reboot saying System restore fail to restore your computer.

Try system restore in safe mode.

If all else fails try Repair XP, you will not lose your data and settings if you follow the instructions.
A good idea is to print them out before you start

Will try all of these.
