I'm still using Internet Explorer 6 (I don't like IE 7), but the MS download site seems to be telling me that unless I have IE 7 I can't download SP3.Is this correct??
I am using IE6 and I have had SP3 since a quite early version, with no problems.
NO that is just bill way to make you upgrade to the crap IE7I barred IE7 from installing on all my computers only use IE6 via Firefox and had on problem installing SP3 on all Make sure you do a registry clean up a defrag and any other clean up software that you use before installing SP3
I'm glad I am not the only one who does not like IE7, though I do like Firefox as well as IE6.
I have just installed on a fairly well specced PC with 6Mb broadband and it still took 1 1/2 hours to complete. OK now but I wonder just what changes I will find -and I have 4 more PCs to doNext time I will disable Spybot as it looks for registry change approval along the installation route which can slow things down
I should add I have IE6 on the loaded machine but IE7 on the others
Thanks for the comments everybody.Got there eventually (I needed to do an 'Express' install rather than 'Custom').Took about 45 minutes in total.OK, what differences am I supposed to see??;-))
"OK, what differences am I supposed to see??"Not a lot click here

Following VoG™'s link I have just downloaded and installed SP3 (XP Home). All went very smoothly, and took exactly 59mins from start to absolute finish.Cheers VoG™ .......
