XP shutdown error message - please help!

For the last few days when I attempt to shut down my pc, I get a message (too quick to note it all) regarding ccSvcHst.exe, saying that memory cannot be "read" or sometimes not "written". Click OK to terminate program. The shutdown proceeds whether I click or not.

By searching my PC I can see that this file is a part of Norton Internet Security 2007, which I had been using for over a month with no real problems.

Can anyone tell me what may be causing this or how I may fix it?

Many Thanks.

Have you tried reinstalling Norton?

Hi,
I tried one of the possible fixes mentioned on that linked forum, many thanks skidzy, and that seems to have done the trick for the time being, although I hear others found this a temporary solution! Anyhow, thanks again and I hope I won't have to come back to this thread!
