xp service pack 3 upgrade

hi I am looking on installing xp service pack 3 to my service pack 2 xp installation I was wondering if there is any thing I should do to prepare my computer for service pack 3 e.g how to restore back to service pack 2 if there are any errors or problems

my computer specs

Windows XP Service Pack 3
Compaq Presario SR1705UK
512MB of ram
Intel Celeron D 3.06GHZ
Ati Radeon Xpress 200

if there is any other info you would like to know ask me

Back up all your files and documents.

Run CCleaner.

Full AV and anti-malware scans.

Defrag.

Off you go.

do i have to back up all system files and everything or just the files i need e.g photos and important docs

Just the documents (Word, Excel etc) and photos you need.

You may also want to create restore point before installing SP3

ive done a restore point all work is backed up AV scan form yesterday didn't show up with anything nasty and im currently defragging my computer so when I finish defragging from what I understand im ready to go right

since that post ive actually upgraded to 2GB the maximum my motherboard can take
