Assuming XP, go to Help and Support and type 'remote assistance' into the Search facility. Plenty there.

a few times, but not for a couple of month or so,to give ssistance.

It is easy, and works remakably well.

I'd point out that if you are using ZoneAlarm free edition as a firewall you need to turn this off. If you have the paid for edition I assume you can "open" the port that needs to be open to allow access, but I don't know how to do this.

You can keep the Windows built in firewall on.

Good luck,

I have used it on a number of occassions and it works very well. I particularly like the chat window on it so you can communicate with the person you are helping as well.

Simsy - "I assume you can "open" the port that needs to be open to allow access, but I don't know how to do this." - yes you can, click here, select make & model of the router and then click on Remote Desktop. ;-)

rodriquez, but it's a firewall issue, not a router one.

Good link though!
