XP Home System Restore & Mirror RAID

  JNKScot 15:47 29 May 2004

I have two 120Gb IBM/Hitachi HDDs in a Miror RAID setup as my main boot (C:) drive; Windows XP Home Edition recognises my RAID array as C: and I have IBM/Hitachi drives on the first IDE slot; 40 Gb (D:) and 60 Gb (E:) plus my DVD & CD Re-Writers on the second IDE slot.

System Restore only recognises the D: & E: HDDs and does not let me turn off Restore on the E: drive which it recognises as the system drive.

Mobo is a Gigabyte VAXP-7

Can anyone out there help please?

Does no-one out there have any form of a answer for this?

Finally cracked it.

Disconnected other drives; booted up with only C: drive (RAID) and XP allowed me to enable system restore on C:

Reconnected D: & E: drives; System Restore now enabled on all three.
