Thanks

All those avalible on the Agfa UK Site only go to Win 98. Looks like it might be time for a new scanner?

Try click here User ID "drivers" Password "all". You may find a driver listed for it but you may have to use a Win 2000 driver.

I just found 4 agfa snapscan 1212p drivers on the above site. All for Win 2000 but should work with Win XP.

Me again. Just found this driver on the driver guide website which is, supposedly, a beta version issued by Afga for Win XP. Try this link click here

There was an XP driver for the 1212u on the Agfa website but not for 1212p - but, as stated, the Win2K one might work.

Agfa states on its website download page for the 1212p: "This type of scanner does not work under XP. Agfa will not make XP drivers in the future either as it stopped its desktop scanner and digital camera business in September 2001."

There's also version 2 of ScanWise if you haven't already got it:

There are two 1212p models, one with and one without an on/off switch and whether this affects the driver choice I don't know.

Agfa support can be contacted online or by phone in the UK. See:

I have the 1212u and it works fine under the latest drivers and ScanWise versions.

The ScanWise version I mention above is actually 1401 (presumably 1.4) and is said to only work with Windows 95 SP1, 98, ME, NT and 2000.

So it looks as if Agfa didn't do a Version 2 for the 1212p yet did for the 1212u.

However, if you never try a Win2000 driver or even one in EP if available, you'll never know...:-)
