xp boot failure

  bullseye50 11:17 27 Mar 2003

My XP Pro operating system has crashed and will not boot up! On startup the system goes into a continuous bootup loop and will not boot on any other options on F8 including last settings, safe recovery, debug etc etc.

I have made no changes to the system but I was experiencing some glitches before the system was shut down yesterday.

The C drive is accessible via a floppy and the directories appear intact. I ran scandisk and there are no problems with files directories or bad sectors.
Firstly what has caused the problem second is to recover recent work followed by reinstalling the OS! Please help!
