Hi,
we were decorating recently and have to unplug everything and turned the mains power off, since then, my windows xp desktop has changed from the normal boot up. Instead of boot into windows screen, it now ask me to choose to press F1 to continue or F2 to go into setup, and it stays on this screen until I made a choice.

can anyone help me to make it back to normal boot up please.

many thanks

Sometimes just entering the BIOS once, without even changing anything, will cure it.

One can usually enter the BIOS by pressing the Del key right at the start of the boot-up process.

Post here again if the problem persists. G

No, don't touch anything to begin with.

Just enter the BIOS & exit without making any changes. G

Hi everyone,

many thanks for all your inputs, I did enter the BIOS a few time without making any changes. It did not make any difference, however, I went into BIOS again and turn off the floppy disc drive and it works fine!

once again, many thanks for all your helps.

regards
