I've tried to make an XP floppy backup but each time I attempt, the operation is aborted. Any ideas anyone?
what do you mean a "floppy backup". Do ya mean the START-UP DISK or your system onto a floppy disk???? (I know this is a stupid question but to make sure)
You're right......of course I meant a START-UP disk!
have you tried a virus san and/or a Scan-Disk????
I'm trying to make a start-up disc for a brand new, straight out of the box system, not the one I'm working on at the moment.
Yea but the system that you are creating the disk from may have corrupt registry keys, files, etc...
What system are you going to install or is already installed on the new system???
The system already has XP Home Edition installed.
Well you can use that computer instead of the computer you are using now for this operation (I know this doesn't correct the problem with your system but this could be a temp way out until someone else posts an idea to you)
I have just thought that you may of write-prove protected it.... (little tab that slides to cover one of the holes in the floppy-disk at the bottom)
Thanks for your help
