XP Automatic Updates query

I've got a fresh install of XP Pro SP1a running and have installed SP2 from a CD. Both disks a couple of years old but expect windows to automatically update it's self. If I go into control panel, Security Centre it tells me firewall, updates and AV are all 'ON'. But where are the controls for setting the update time etc?
Many thanks, Garry

Updates come out usually on the first Tuesday of each monoth from MSoft.

Click on the Automatic update link at the bottom of the page where it says Manage security settings.

security centre also has a section where you switch on updates then you can configure at will.

It's ok Ive found it now.
In control panel there is a seperate icon for auto updates rather than in the security centre.
Strange.
Cheers, anyway guys
