XP Automatic Updates

When I try & install automatic updates XP service pack 3 - I receive the following message:

The feature you are trying to receive is on a CD ROM or another removable disk that is not available

Insert the Microsoft XP Professional with frontpage disk and click ok

Am I right in thinking as the laptop was purchased new with XP pre-loaded I can't install updates unless I purchase a new copy of xp along with the cd ?

Thanks in anticipation

Office XP is nothing to do with Windows XP.

It's asking for the installation CD for Office - do you have that?

The XP SP3 Beta versions have been released over the past few months - I'm using the latest Beta.

It does appear in this case that 2stroketim is being asked to use the Office installation disk.
