XP on clean install has assigns wrong driver letter to hard drive 80Gb drive is G ,zip drive is c, cd is d ,dvd e
Changing the drive letter of the system volume or the boot volume is not inherent to Disk Management.I think this mean i can not change it from G to c
Correct. XP will work perfectly happy on G: - however, if it really bothers you for some reason, unplug the Zip and CD drives (leaving just your hard drive), and reinstall XP - it will now be Drive C:
Fine does not bothers me ,but every time I install a program it will look for c 1st
Time will tell - but a properly-written installation routine will recognise that G: is the system drive, and offer to install there.
