Is there a way to tranfer pictures, that are one's camera, direct to a pen drive without foing it via a computer? What connectors would be required were it possible?

Not that I know of... but I'd be interested in hearing an answer.

I'm with Diodorus Siculus on this one.

The way I do it is I use a card reader in one usb port and my pen drive in another and copy or move straight from one to the other.

Cheers Chris.

No, you can't hooked a pen drive directly to your camera or to it via your USB cable and download the photos. Both the camera and the pen drive are "slave" devices and require a PC of some sort with the proper drivers to communicate properly.

A readily available USB 'OTG' (on the go) device like this one -click here or this one-
will allow you to copy your files off your camera's memory card to another.

There are other suppliers, of course.

I remembered this option click here , as well. I have a spare 2.5" 40gig drive, I might invest in the empty one...
