wrong keyboard driver?

Hi,
Following a recent reinstall of windows I suspect I have the wrong (US?) keyboard driver, as my @ has moved onto key 2 and my pound sterling sign has disappeared. Can anyone please help me resolve this issue?

Go to my computer > Control panel > Regional and language settings > languages > details > and set your keyboard to a UK setting and remove the US keyboard options.

It would be advised then to reboot as it suggest.

control panel-regional & language options-languages-details and make sure keyboard is changed to English (United Kingdom)
