Any tips please on transferring photos from a folder on the computer to a memory card inserted into an internal card reader. I drag & drop to the reader in My Computer, but nothing appears on the card. Thanks guys.

Have you formatted the card??

Re. Smiler - the card has been formatted in a camera, and already has shots on it. Is there any other formatting I should do?

Thanks, Monco

Cards must only ever be formatted in the camera they are to be used in.
Uploading edited images into cards cam be problematic, even if they show they like as not will not display in the camera.
This is because the images produced in a camera are a dedicated type of JPEG properly known as EXIF
That is it is a JPEG image plus data from the camera such as speed aperture date and other stuff unique to that particular camera.
When loading to a computer very often this extra dat gets 'lost' then the card/camera system no longer recognize the file.
There are ways to a a 'dummy' file put onto an image but is means running it through something Like Ifranview or a free download called xatview.

Very similar way to drag and drop.

Right click the photo and select sendto, find the reader drive and sendto this.

Can you connect the camera to the computer and upload the pictures that way??
Have you tried different cards in the card reader it could be a faulty reader.
