Works database deletes 1st field

  Trikie 16:20 09 Jun 2008

I have a 5 column database. I've added an extra column No 6 and as soon as I type the first letter of an entry into it the whole of field 1, including the heading, is deleted.

I've copied the document but the same thing happens when I type in the copy.

Has anyone come actross this and found a solution?

How do you get column 1 back after it has been deleted?

I don't, that's the problem.

I am struggling with this one - may have to reinstall works and try to recreate the problem if no one else has any suggestions.

Will control z not undo what you've done. Is it a parameter setting? If the set up is for 5 columns only when you start to fill number 6 it shunts number one off the end. Do you have an old db with multi columns that you could import into?
