Word 2007 problems

  tonyq 15:57 08 Dec 2010

I mail merged some names and addresses and saved them in word 2007 to print out as labels which I have done without problems. I needed to replace one of the name/address, so I deleted it.I can type in the new name but cannot type in anything else in the label space. When I use the wrong way round "P" on the toolbar(don't know the correct name)
click here to view the formatting, I see the following symbol at the place I have typed to,click here and have not got a clue what it represents.Help please

This is the formatting symbol and does not print.

The symbol on the toolbar is called a pilcrow. Not sure about the other one.

I would normally update the database rather than edit the labels as it is inserted fields on the labels and it is the content of the fields that you see.
However what did you delete? Did you delete the entire contents of the label or only 1 field?

after a couple of hours trying to sort it out,it as let me do what I needed to do. I have no idea what the problem was,but alls well that ends well.
Thank you all for your advice anyway.
