word 2 pdf problem

I have just taken receipt of a long word document which I had to convert to pdf.

The problem is this.

On one page their is a map outline made up of an image file with text in various text boxes.

Viewed as a word document it's fine, but after converting it to a pdf a rectangular box appears around the edges of the map with several equidistant horizontal lines going across the rectangle.

Referring back to the word document and right clicking the map image file, I noticed that the boundary of the images file matches the rectangle in the pdf.

Can anyone shed some light on what is causing this problem and how I might be able to fix it.

Many thanks.

Are you using Adobe Acrobat Writer for this? We have both that and a free/shareware product called PDFCreator (from click here). I KNOW .PDF belongs to Adobe, but PDFCreator works in some cases where Adobe doesn't!
