WMP 11 Album Art Removal

  andyinteractive 23:40 21 Dec 2007

I seem to have a problem with removing incorrect 'Album Art' on Windows Media Player 11.

Whenever i download an mp3 music file i get 'album art' of the CD 'Thats What I Call Music 68' displayed at the bottom left corner of media player.

The tracks i have downloaded are not from that specific album so i cannot understand as to why i am getting album art from a CD that i have not downloaded? (This appears on everything i download)

I have unchecked all the boxes to retrieve media information as all my files are organized and dated correctly.

Is there any way of completely disabling this facility?

Any help is apprecieated in advance.

Run WMP11, Click Tools Tab, Options.., Click Library Tab, UnTick 'Retrieve additional information from internet.

I have already. None of the boxes are ticked concerning links to retrieving internet/ media additional info.

Try in the Privacy Tab in Options, Untick 'Display Media Information from the Internet'

and Untick 'Update music files by retrieving media info from the Internet.
