I would like to change the default location for my documents in XP pro.
I have done it before on XP home but I can't figure what to do in XP pro.
I have looked in the help files but I can't see the answer there.

Any ideas?

Does this work,

My Documents Folder - Move

In Explorer right click on "My Documents", and select "Properties", then in the target box enter your new location.

I thought I had tried that, perhaps not. anyway that worked.

that works fine, thanks
but I have my data in three separate partitions, one for "my documents" another for "my pictures" and yet another partition for "my music"
This makes for easy maintenance and safe handling, but I do not know how to move XP default folders for my music and my pictures to correct location (and if I just delete the originals, XP recreates them)
So can I move my music and my pictures folders in a manner similar to my documents?

Install Teak UI

and you will be able to change locations of special folders as you wish.
