Wireshark Problem

Hell all expert networking administrator,

i have a noob question about wireshark. I have a laptop and equipped with Intel wireless card which is 495AGN.

I wonder whether this is working at windows because i have read some of the documentation saying that only monitor mode is available.

Therefore, i asking some expert whether working in windows.

I want to hack my own wireless router. Please teahc me by step by step.

You sure you have the model # correct can only find the

Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN card

Do not understand your question

Why would anyone make a monitor only wireless card????

If you really want to try and pen test a wireless router then the best way to do it is to use "BackTrack" from "remote exploit". click here

Its a Linux OS boot cd, which can either be ran from cd or installed to the hard drive.

The problem with using windows is that is hard if not impossible to get a wireless card into monitor mode, and then after that you have trouble with packet injecting especially with Intel chipsets.
