Wireless USB Adapter Problem

Hi I've just got a new USB wireless adapter (Dynamode GI 700s).

1. I've installed the drivers on two laptops.
2.
a) The XP laptop: says 'One or more wireless networks available' when the Dynamode is plugged in. When I select the network and click connect the window closes and goes back to 'One or more wireless networks available' and I can't load any webpages.
b) The Vista laptop recognises the adapter, but when trying to connect to the network it cannot and says 'unknown problem' or something very similar.

Notes: The wireless network works fine, I'm using it now to type this. Both laptops can connect by wire successfully. I do have WEP setup, but I've triple checked the key and it works for the Vista laptop with it's built in card fine.

Any ideas, is it just faulty?

Thanks, James.

I know you have installed the drivers but is there any separate connection software that come with the usb adapter as some will only work with this.

There does seem to be, but it says in the quick start guide that it will auto load and it never does. When I try to load the folder the software is installed in, it just crashes?
