Hi all,
I am running Dell Inspiron laptop with XP Pro firewall enabled and Macafee Security Centre firewall enabled- Belkin G+mimo wireless router not broadcasting SSID and firewall enabled. The question is do I need to enable other security. I have read all the instructions and just do not understand them -
Any advice gratefully accepted

Only run one firewall on the PC , turn off the XP one , it's not much good anyway . Don't bother turning off the SSID on the router , it does nothing for security , but can cause connection problems , just give it a good name ( not the make and model ) get some proper security turned on , on the router , go to the wireless section and select WPA encryption and then click here for a random generator , cut and paste the key into wordpad , so you can cut and paste it back to the router and to your wireless connection on the laptop . Keep the firewall turned on , on the router , this will not interfere with the software one , but ONLY run one on the laptop .
