hi guys, we have 3 laptops at home using windows vista and ntl broadband with a wireless router
TP-LINK TL-WR541G/TL. everything works fine but i know it is not secured.when i go into security in properties it says" no authentication (open)" on the dropdown list it gives the following choices.
shared
wpa2-personal
wpa-personal
wpa2-enterprise
wpa-enterprise
802.1x
it also has encrytion type and a choice between none and wep.
i would like my system to be more secure but i don't have the router instructions anymore and would be grateful for some advice.

`WPA2 personal` ideally, with a strong password. Generate one and copy it to a USB key in a text file, use that to copy and paste the key into the network password box for each PC. click here

Doesn't need to be the entire password from the link above, but 16 characters will make it fairly impossible to break.

another source of info, but you will need to know the hardware version, (v2, 4, or 6) : -
