Wireless Router - Which one for 3 PC's?

  Cloggsy1 15:32 22 Oct 2006

I'm in the market for a wireless DSL router to connect together three PC's around the house (1 PC via cable, 2 via 'wireless') - Which one is the best to go for?

Thanks in advance...

Got a zyxel 660hw from dabs its under £50 and has a free dongle so you could actually use wireless on all the comps if you wanted to.

Just search click here for zyxel and you will find it as the cheapest wireless one.

Hi, I would recommend the 4 port Safecom ADSL Modem Router with USB Print Server. Easy to set up even for a network novice like me.

ps - in my click-here, look under Products, ADSL Modem Router.

" No, I've got DSL, not cable!"

Then u need a ADSL modem router and not a DSL router.

DSL routers click here U attach these to cable BB

ADSL modem routers click here U connect via telephone line.

Make sure u buy the right 1.

Excuse me if this is a dumb question... I currently have two 'LAN' cards & a cross-over cable linking my two machines (I am building a third one as we speak.) Will I still be able to access data from either machine if I switch to a router, or will it just be for internet sharing?

You can set up file sharing on them all just like a normal network.
