Wireless Router Using Dialup Connection

  PC NOVICE 23:28 24 Nov 2007

I am wanting to know if anyone knows how to get your router to access a dialup connection. I lage a wirless network and I want my laptop to use or share my internet connection with my desktop.

i have another post on this forum regarding seting up a wireless network or something relating to it i think. While I have solved this problem off site i am going to leave it open for comments incase it is related to this.

I would have thought the simplest method would be an AD HOC network where the laptop accesses the desktop wirelessly to use it's net connection. The downside of this is that the desktop has to be on but the upside is that a router is nor required.

2 PCs using a dial up connection at the same time would be frustratingly slow to say the least.

Is broadband really not an option in your case?

My Desktop Only hase a Router so, As far as I can See, an Ad Hoc setup is not really an option. With regards to my connection catagory, I still have another 3 years to go before I can change over to Broadband/ADSL
