Can anyone help? I currently have a cable belkin wireless router connected to my desktop (model F5D7230-4)via an ethernet cable. My daughter has a laptop which is wireless and at present everything works fine as it should, but I would like to replace my desktop with a laptop. Will the wireless router still work without a desktop? Do i just disconnect the ethernet cable from the desktop? Any hel will be appreciated.

yes the router should be fine, as long as one of the laptops has an ethernet port as a standby,in case the router goes wrong.
