Wireless Router

  jaritch 18:13 10 Feb 2007

A relative wishes to go wireless. She is currently with Tiscali broadband which is connected to her laptop with a speedtouch modem. To avoid wires everywhere she wishes to have a wireless router placed near her phone socket and use wireless instead. (her laptop is wireless enabled)Any recommendations from tiscali users as to a wireless router that you have found to do the job.

Also how do i set it up? I assume I will have to set the router up wired to her laptop before going wireless. Would I be right?

Thanks in advance.

Connect to the Wireless Router using ethernet RJ45 cable while you set username password VPI VCI and Protocal for the internet connection to Tiscali, once this is working you can also establish a connection via wireless, once this is established you can remove the ethernet cable connection

Thanks Tosh & Strawballs for your responses. They will help as I go to purchase and set up the wireless router.
