Wireless not working when not plugged in

Hi all

I have an Acer Aspire 5100 laptop which has a curious problem which is beyond me to fix.

Quite simply my computer disables the wireless connection when the computer isn't plugged in (making a mockery of the very point of a laptop!). As soon as I plug it in it reconects immediately. Could anyone give me any pointers?

Thanks

Mark

1. Make sure battery is fully charged before attempting to go on-line. Are you sure battery is not faulty - how old is it?

2. Check your Settings in Control Panel>Power Options.
