Either a USB 'dongle' or a PCMCIA card that plugs into the side and has the antenna bit sticking out. I use the latter as the card hardly sticks out and can stay in place unlike a USB stick that needs removing if you put the lappy in a bag.

Installing a Wireless PCMCIA Card

Turn the computer Off

Find the PCMCIA slot on the side of the computer there is a small Eject button next to the slot

that you press in and the reject button will pop out

Push in the eject button and the blanking plate will be rejected, if there is a blanking plate remove

the plate

Insert the card into the slot label side up.

The edge of the card with the roll of connection holes must go in first.

Do not force the card into the slot.

If it doesn't go in easily, then you have not inserted it correctly.

Turn on the computer and load the driver from the cd that came with the card and then configure the

wireless card to connect to your wireless router

How To Ejecting the Card

Shut down the computer as normal

Press the Eject button.

The card should pop out slightly.

Gently slide it out the rest of the way

Do not install or remove the card with the computer ON as you will damage the card

Take a read if you do nor feel comfortably with the install
