Wireless Networking Using Bluetooth!

Would I be right in thinking that you can create a wireless network for both sharing files and browsing the internet simply by buying a USB Bluetooth adapter for each computer? If so why is there a need to buy expensive routers, cables, network cards etc?

..I'm sure there's a catch somewhere, could someone please explain.

i think you will find blue tooth only has a limited operation area and a very limited data transfer rate compared to wifi so whilst it may be ideal for small transfer eg pda or smart phone to pc or visa its probably not a great tool for large amounts of data transfer pc to pc

Terrahawk hit the nail on the head I'm afraid. Bluetooth is for small data transfers to and from PDA's, mobile phones and laptops etc for internet and document synchronization...Unfortunately not for networking.
