Is it possible to run a wireless network using XP Pro on my PC and Win 2000 on a laptop in another room. I have AOL Silver, a Netgear DG834 wireless ADSL Modem router on the pc and want to put a Netgear Laptop Wireless Adapter on the laptop. If so, could somebody please tell me how to go about this? XP Pro has SP2 and 2000 has SP4. Thanks in anticipation.

Nothing to it really, as 2000 is basically as network-ready as XP is. Most of the principles are broadly the same as well, so if you can network well with XP, you'll be fine with 2000.

I presume that you want to be able to share the Internet connection?
This should be easy. I would disable your firewalls before attempting this, but make sure that once you have it working that you enable the firewalls again.
You will probably need to configure the firewalls & it is easier to do if you know that the network does work.

Thanks to ade.h and kestrel10 for clarifying this
