wireless network - pathway not found

  puma22 12:39 05 May 2008

i have an XP pc and a vista laptop. both connect OK to the Internet wirelessly. I successfully set up the 2 machines to network wirelessly. Unfortunately, one of the kids friends put a usb flash drive into the pc which had their network set up on. This then ran on my pc and seems to have knocked out my network.
Have tried system restore and then setting up a new network. Now the pc cant see the laptop but the laptop can see the pc. When I try to either view workgroup places from the pc or connect to the pc from the laptop I get 'pathway not found'
Can anyone help?
