wireless mouse

I need a new mouse to use with my Microsoft Wireless Desktop Elite keyboard. What wireless mouse is a substitute for the Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2 as that one is no longer available to buy. It's not that my current one has stopped working, despite recently having been made to work with a new OS, Windows 7, rather that the sides have in some mysterious way become sticky to the touch which is most disconcerting.

I have two of these mice with the sticky side problem and followed these instructions click here it works for a while but every 6 months or so I repeat the procedure. These mice are just too good to throw away.

Thanks chub_tor, I'll give that a try. I've been using the mouse, actually I have two, for a number of years and I'd hate to ditch one unnecessarily!

Have tried all suggestions but no success so far.

The rubbing alcohol (isopopranol) works fine for me, but as I say it is not a permanent cure.

I think I'll have to abandon my efforts and look for a replacement.
