How would i tell if my computer is wireless enabled. i have a mesh about 3 years old. I can't remember where i put my details at the moment so I can't check .
Is the a way of looking in the settings or something like that.

It's even easier than that. Check the rear of your case....If you see a small aerial in one of the installed PCI cards, you are wireless ready.

If not, these cards can be bought cheaply (15 quid ish) And are simple to install.

It dosn't seem like I am then, I have never seen a small arial there.

many thanks

No. Your modem/router should be able to connect to the PC with an ethernet cable or USB cable. Its only if you have a PC, like alaptop, that you want to use anywhere in the house that wireless is useful.

So if my desktop PC is not wireless enabled all I would do is connect PC by Ethernet cable to wireless router and than I should be able to use my xbox360 in another room.

So what you are saying is that my PC doesn't need to be wireless enabled.?

Sorry for my ignorance.

thank you.

Is your Xbox connected to your PC? It is the same as a PC and for internet/games access it has to either be connected by a wire or wirelessly to a router, the same as your PC.

Normally I connect my xbox 360
with a 15ft long Ethernet cable.

PC is the same as the Xbox for connection. If you want your PC to be wireless you need a wireless router and a wireless usb or PCI adapter for the PC.
