wireless connection speeds

I am confused.

I have a 2mb internet connection, will i be able to take full advantage of this using my notebooks onboard 54g wireless network adapter.

Or do i need to invest in some additional equipment?

The reasoning behind this, is i am under the impression that 54g equates to 1/2 MB connection speed, 108 eqaqtes to 1MB connection and the draft N is in the region of 3-4MB connection speed.

You'll have no problem at all with your current wireless adapter.

The 54g you refer to (if I assume this is the 802.11g standard) is rated to run at 54mbps (though you won't realistically get all of this). This is roughly 25 times your 2mbps internet connection - more than enough.
