Wireless connection not working anymore

  Skeffington 12:35 02 Sep 2007

I've recently reformatted my laptop. I was able to connect to the Internet on this computer through the MSI Cardbus. Because I didn't have the original XP CD for the computer, I had to borrow one from a friend of mine. It installed fine, although it's a different XP version that I used to have, but now I can't connect to my router anymore. I plug in the card and there is one green light coming to say it's inserted, but the green light for the wireless symbol stays shut. No matter what I do or try nothing happens, whereas before all I had to do was plug in the card and it would detect the wireless signal immediately. Any ideas?

Having had to format and reinstall Windows, have you actually reinstalled the drivers/software for the Wireless Network Adapter?
