Wireless connection to internet

I am trying to connect a new laptop through a Micronet router to BT broadband.

The computer has set up the network fine with no problems and connects to it wirelessly.

However, when i open an Internet explorer page it wont connect.

Looking at the network and sharing centre in Vista, the connnections show no link between the router and the internet.

BT were of no help.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Is the router definitely connected to the Internet ?
Open a browser window and access the router set up pages and have a look at the status page .....and my 2 Vista PC's often say , via the Network and Sharing Centre , that I am not connected to the internet , but I always am .
