Wireless - Can use MSN messenger but not Browser

  chris5321 20:58 10 Sep 2007

I've had this problem before.

Basically my browser (firefox incidentally, but switching to IE doesn't help) stops working, and eventually times-out.

In the past this has been solved by disconnecting from the network, and restarting my BtHomeHub. Five minutes later I'm back on and it's fine.

Happened again this morning, haven't been able to get back on to the "World wide web" so to speak. Can use MSN messenger fully, as have been talking to people.

Ethernet connected PC working fine.

Any help?

Check to see if the internet connection settings are set to use a proxy server.

Control Panel\Internet Options\Connections\LAN Settings.

MSN Messenger works regardless for some reason.
