wireless broadband device - Which one?

Hi

I've just got a new HP Laptop and it allows the use of a wireless broadband connection.

I understand I need to buy a device that you plug into the phone socket and mains supply which then acts as a modem/router whatever for my laptop.

Is there any consensus on which is the best brand and are they all similar spec?

Any help appreciated

Amer

There's a lot to choose from if you go browsing, but it's always best to stick with known brands for the simple reason they tend to be easier to setup. Another consideration is the type of connection you have, cable or adsl, this will determine which type of wireless router you buy.
A few of the better known brands are Linksys, D-Link, Buffalo, netgear, 3com, belkin, etc.

I have both. I use a belkin WiFi router's for both setup's.

Setup is easy and has never faltered in two years.
