wireless broadband

can any one advise me please, have just set up my mates brand new medion desktop with cable modem and wireless router, everthing runs fine both with ethernet and wireless connections. My question: if i decide to plug the ethernet cable back in does it mean that both the wireless and ethernet are running together or can I disable the wireless side somehow or can I just leave it as it is I assume that the ethernet side of the connection would automatically take over
many thanks in advance

The ethernet takes over. Although wireless is still enabled so you can connect laptop etc.

If you have wireless, it means you can accesss from another computer running wireless, so make sure your wireless security is set to WPA so as not to allow others in the neighbourhood to connect, and use your bandwidth
