Wireless adaptor problem

  madmike 14:19 23 Dec 2010

My wireless adaptor on my laptop keeps turning itself off every couple of minutes, can someone tell me why, and how to stop it.
The type of adaptor i have is:
Broadcom 802.11 Multiband Network Adaptor.
I have put laptop back to factory setting, but has made no difference.
Can you help

Many Thanks

Sorry I cannot help with what seems like an intermittent hardware fault.

I would get a USB one - for the time being at least. They are only £6.49 delivered for the better 'N' one click here / click here. G

How do you know it's "turning itself off", or do you mean you're losing your connection - not the same thing.

I`m sure it`s turning off, as i have Thinkvantage on my taskbar, when i check status it`s powered off, i then have to click power on, it then works for a few minutes, then internet stops, i check Thinkvantage, it` powered off again.
Any Ideas?
Many Thanks
