One of my flock asks the following [and I really don't know why- as you will see]

She has a normal desktop PC connected to Broad Band
She also has a lappie
she can connect the 2 via a serial cable- she said
Now she asks can she access the BB connection on the lappie via the serial connection?
It seems like 'wired wireless'

Though I do not know why any one would want to.
I am familiar with wireless and routers etc.
but it seems she wants to talk to her main PC and access her BB connection.
Is it feasible?
Would extra software be required?

The old serial link connection is too slow for internet access and not even sure if it can be put into a network bridge.

Thank you FB
That's on the lines of what I intimated to her

Suggest to her that she clicks on an empty part of the desktop, presses the F1 button and poses the question 'share two computers'. This will show her how knowledgeable you are :-)
