does anyone know how to completely wipe internet explorer off my pc?
Which version of Windows? You can't in XP. Other Windows click here
It can be done in XP but you would need to use nLite - click here to create a new installation disk from your original CD and, as nLite is not quite out of Beta yet, you might not be successful. You will lose a certain amount of functionality if you do it and you may not be willing to do that. More information can be found in the nLite section at - click hereI've removed IE from my other computer, without ill effect, but I would advise anyone who is thinking of doing it to think hard before attempting it.
I should, also, have said, once it's been removed it can only be replaced with a re-install of the OS... unless you wish to spend the better part of two days manually replacing files and re-registering Dlls. I found it to be so anyway.
Why would anyone want to remove IE in the first place? I don't use IE (well rarely anyway) but having it does me no harm. G
