Hey Guys

I'll try and keep this simple lol.

I basically want to wipe my HDD clean however i do want to keep it in functioing order so that i can continue to use it. I am aware that formatting it isnt completely sufficient enough to do this and have been told that there are many other ways i can completely wipe it. I would like to erase everything permanentely of off it and install a brand new copy of windows xp on it.

Anyone have any tips or ideas.

Thanks Guyz

Will this allow me to install a fresh copy on the hdd and leave it in working order ?

Or will it damage the hdd in anyway

It will overwrite the drive with 0 preventing data retrieval.

will not harm the drive.

I am aware that formatting it isnt completely sufficient enough to do this

by the ime you format and reinstall XP most of the drive will be overwritten sufficiently to stop anyone except government agencies from retrieving your data.
