WinXP boots slow after installing Office 2003

I have recently formatted my HD and installed WinXP Pro and SP2. It was booting fast until I installed Office 2003. Before installing office, the Windows loading screen (black screen with blue squares) takes about 7 secs. After installing office, it now takes about 40 secs but Windows still works fast after booting.

Your expert advise on speeding up the boot will be greatly appreciated.

Try this, go to Start/Run/and type msconfig then hit Enter. Click on the Startup Tab then untick anything relating to MS Office, apply then restart your computer. You will get a warning notice that you have changed the start up. Tick the box "Don't show this again"

And check if the drive needs defragged as I haven't seen office 2003 causing this slowdown and suspect it might be something else that is causing it.
