I need to know whether I'm using 64-bit in order to install the correct version of software. Where do I go to find out?

Thank you so much Terrahawk; I don't have 64 bit but I do have 32 - a relief eh?

(and what IS 64 or 32 bit anyway? ah but there's a long story.....)

Regards and thanks again

Are you running XP home or XP pro?

XP home is 32Bit and Pro is the 64Bit

I thought it was 64Bit? had been told that when Blaster was starting and the patch was available for both. oh well

Isnt it just dependant on the hardware being used? There are 64bit processors on the market for servers etc and I assumed xp configured automatically to this hardware?

XP Pro does have a 64bit edition
