hi -

im running win xp home and zonealarm and i have a programme called winmngr.exe keeps trying to access the internet but i am denying it as i havent heard of this before or had it trying to access the internet on my other pc's.

According to zonealarm the file is located at c:\windows\system32\ but when looking in the folder it is not there!

Is this a dodgy file? If so how do i get rid of it if i cannot find it?

I have run Norton AV but nothing came up.

Cheers

i did also run the online version of Trend Micro's Hopusecall and that didnt find anything either! Anyway followed the instructions in the link and just about to reboot!

i seem to have gotten rid of it - with a combination of following the second link Stalion gave me (cheers!) and also turning off system restore, rebooting and the turning on system restore.

All seems fine at the moment with both zonealarm and NAV up to date and working! Still strange that TrentMicro and Norton didnt pick this up though.
